It is obvious that sliding a rail is taking
a risk. It is also obvious that you cant stop it; rails are
what your guests want. SLR makes every effort to reduce the
risk of rail sliding with these standard features.
- On/Off Bevel (donkey dink): on
all rails, this reduces the risk of the user catching the rail
as they come on and off of the rail.
- Profiled Skirting: Every effort
is given to create a smooth and unobtrusive profile to every
jib. In the event that a user comes up short on a slide and ends
up between the legs, our skirting system will reduce the risk
of injury. Safety is designed into every jib.
- Capped ends: All above grade
stock ends are filled or capped to eliminate a pinch point. All
of our boxes come with 90-degree bent corners instead of 2 pieces
of pipe on a butt joint. This gives a clean and smooth finish.
- Full Skirt Wrap: The full skirting
wrap separates us from any other manufacturer. All SLR rails
and boxes get a full wrap of steel around every skirting panel.
This adds strength without adding weight. Also there are no tabs
to hit and less splitting if using plywood skirting.
- Selected Hardware: SLR uses
skirting hardware that has a low and smooth profile and will
not rattle loose or break.
The
designs used by SLR have come from years of not only building
them but from years of using them. It is critical to have the
right angles, heights and curves that will continue to work.
- Angles, heights and lengths all increase through the 3 sizes
in order to accommodate the user.
- SLR rails are fast and smooth with no kinks on the bends and
no bends on the kinks. We give a solid protected finish but nothing
that will cause the user to hang up from the paint.
- All of our boxes come with 90 degree bent elbows on the corners
all straight and kinked boxes. Not 2 pieces of pipe on a butt
joint or pointed miter cut corner. Clean and smooth.
Every SLR is built to be as light and as strong
as possible. We do our best to design every SLR to be manageable,
durable and functional. Some Rockstar and Custom designs come
in 3 ready to assemble sections for shipping purposes.
- All welded steel construction: Every SLR is constructed with
a minimum wall thickness of 1/8 inch. This is true for 2 and
3 inch round stock and all of our fun box jibs.
- UV tolerant fast sliding surface for boxes: At last we have
found the surface that keeps you sliding.
- The full skirting wrap separates us from any other jib manufacturer.
All SLR rails and boxes get a full wrap of steel around every
skirting panel. By doing this it not only gives the rail incredible
rigidity but also keeps the legs and the coping from twisting
and bending during use, transport and removal. In addition this
method also helps in having to replace the skirting material,
less breaking, splitting and tearing.
- The poly used on SLR boxes will stand up to the elements and
the traffic. Super fast and super strong. This poly is unaffected
by Mother Nature, it can stand up to the abuse of winter weather
and winter guests all at the same time.
