About StraightLine Rails

StraightLine Rails is the brainchild of Dave "Hooter" Van Houten, owner and operator of SPM. Not being able to leave well enough alone Hooter has deconstructed the design of the commercial and common jib features. Having rethought the whole process and how they are built and used Hooter has refined the whole process to create a product to last through years of abuse. Being one of the east coast's foremost terrain park designers Dave has the opportunity to research and develop a high quality and almost unmatched product and standard. With standards that high it is no surprise that SLR has a vending contract with the United Stated Department of Defense.

“In the 10 years I have designed and built parks I have seen the need for efficient and manageable jib features. Having built, maintained, and moved these features on the hill I see a huge area for improvement with jib operations, rail construction and maintenance. Not only that but today’s technical slider is looking for the next custom thing. I want to give them that. We have built rails that have not worked and reworked ones that have and learned. Hell I continue to learn and change this stuff all the time. We can build anything here, rails are easy, making the tools is hard, and I don’t just try to sell the product I am sure to work on whatever is ordered. I am very particular about what leaves here. With that, SPM has invested in a 2000 square foot manufacturing facility where all of the rail fabrication is done. StraightLine Rails does everything in-house with no outside contracting, which saves you money. The features found on our products will greatly improve the quality and manageability of your park.
